Happy #FarmPupFriday from miss Juniper. I think I’m going to channel her vibes this evening and plop myself exactly like this on the couch. Head over to stories to hear the madness that’s been going on over here this week. 😆hope you buddies have a great weekend!
My most beautiful, perfect, number one girl turns TEN years old today 🥳 I got Marley as a junior in college. I wasn’t supposed to get her, buying her was not planned - but somehow the universe knew I needed her. She has been with me through the most formative years of my life and helped me to cope with every challenge and obstacle I have been presented with to date.
June would like me to please stop taking selfies with her. 🤷🏼‍♀️But the answer is no. No no no no no.
Throwing it back to move in day last summer. 🥰 I’m honestly still impressed that we got Cricket to load into this two horse straight load amidst all the moving chaos. If you’re new here, we moved into this house June of last year, and NONE of the property was fenced at move in time. We had 8 goats, one horse, and two livestock guardian dogs all living in about 300 yards of electric fence for 12 days while we got one pasture fenced 😅 I will be A-Okay if I never have to do anything like that again in my life 🤪 but hey, what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger...though I’m not sure that applies here 😆
We spent 8 hours moving snow yesterday 💪🏼❄️ Not my favorite way to spend the day but when you have 4 foot high drifts in your driveway and around all your animal shelters it’s gotta be done! Thankfully with the tractor, snowblower, and a good old fashioned shovel, we were able to get it done. The bad news is, we have 70 mph winds starting up again tonight which means we will likely get to do this all over again tomorrow and Monday 😆some things you have to just laugh off or you’ll end up being totally bitter about it. Hopefully I can keep up the laughter through this next batch of wind storms. 🌬 I think the goats hate it worse than anyone. I’ll have to come up with a few ways to make them “laugh” through it too. 🤔 maybe extra licorice treats?
Winter vs 👉🏻 summer 🌷
